Classes familiarize students with basic poses and focus on proper alignment

This class is perfect for people who have little or no experience with yoga. The instructor will introduce the basics of yoga at a pace that is not overwhelming, and in an environment that is safe and encouraging. The beginner/moderate class is great for beginners and those who want to expand on the practice.

Classes are fun and challenging!

In these Vinyasa classes we link poses with breath to create a moving meditation. We will refine basic poses and introduce intermediate poses. Paying equal attention to posture and transition, we build an awareness of the energetic and structural benefits of asana. It has a quicker pace and is great for those who like to move.

Classes are intense!

Think Flow, but add arm balances, backbends and inversions. These classes focus on core and upper body strength. Power is perfect for intermediate students who are ready to work and play hard.

During these classes, classic yoga poses will be practiced with an emphasis on alignment and options for modifications. This class is appropriate for people new to yoga as well as folks who have been practicing for some time. Like all yoga classes offered here, this class is tailored to the folks who are there. Everyday our bodies are slightly different, so be willing to show up for class and meet yourself where ever you are that day. If you’ve been practicing for some time and want to take it up a notch, you can feel free to deepen your practice in this class. Conversely, if you’re brand new to yoga, you’re welcome in this class to learn the basics of the practice. Most important is that you listen to your body and take the time to deepen your connection to self. This class is designed for all levels and modifications will be given when needed to ensure the postures are done safely. 

Think flow at a  slower pace. Moderate to Advanced Class. 

This is a vinyasa flow style class done at a moderate pace yet still challenging. Expect sun salutations, strength building poses, deep stretching, arm balances, inversions, and twists. This 75 minute session consists of seated warm-ups with focus on the breath to help center the body, standing and balancing postures to improve muscle and bone strength, and seated and supine stretches and twists that encourage the body to let go of toxins. While this class can be challenging, beginner’s who are in good shape and ready to take their practice to the next level are welcome to jump right in. This class is for moderate levels and modifications are given if needed to ensure the postures are done safely.

The class will focus building internal heat through a basic vinyasa-flow focused practice.  This pratice will introduce students to a power class sequence. Benefits of the practice will include increased stamina, strength and flexibility.

Gentle Yoga

What is Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra and what can it do for you?

This nourishing class blends the healing practices of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation and powerful transformation.  Restorative Yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga which utilizes props to fully support the body for total relaxation. These gentle reclined postures are held for longer periods of time for decompressing the joints, deeply relaxing the muscles and to de-stress and rejuvenate the mind and body.

Yoga Nidra, also referred to as Wakeful Yogic Sleep, is a powerful practice accessed through a guided meditation, taking you on a journey through body, breath and visualization.  This systematic process provides deep relaxation and stress relief on physical, mental and emotional levels.  In this deepened state we can insert positive affirmations to replace habitual thought patterns, for our highest good.

The benefits from these practices include: helps alleviate insomnia, releases stress and stress related disorders, lowers blood pressure, increases concentration and focus.

Aerobic and Strength Training Classes

Offered Tuesdays and Thursdays

This one of kind program is the ultimate total body workout!! Discover all inclusive fitness in this 35-40 minute high energy aerobics fusion class. Aerobics, plyo, isometrics, strength training-Bringing you a serious workout you can’t get just anywhere! Based on Jillian Michael’s BodyShred program, this class will have you sweating!!! Burning between 500-900 calories each class! Thursdays class will focus more on Lower body and Abs.

(All Levels-this class is not for those with major joint issues or with any heart conditions. Beginners, please make sure you have been physically active consistently for at least 2 months.)

Whether you are a guy looking to get into better shape or a new way to challenge yourself, this is the right class for you! Geared at guys who want to skip the gym and or want to add something new to their routine. This class will help build muscular strength, muscular and cardiovascular endurance, and trim your midsection in a comfortable, non-judgmental environment.  (Moderate Class)

Please note: Classes that run for 5 Weeks only, need a minimum of 3 people signed up for the class to run. There are limited spaces available for each of those classes, pre-registration highly recommended!

Full Body Blast – Saturdays only

An intense strength training circuit class consisting of cardio, free weight, body weight and resistance training exercises! With a different circuit and  exercise sequence each class, you are guaranteed a great workout! Come see what all the sweat is about! (All levels–Beginners welcomed and encouraged!)

This circuit class is focused on strengthening all of your core muscles, burning fat and building a strong and healthy mid section. (All levels welcome!)

Drop and give me 20!

Bootcamp is an ALL LEVELS class that incorporates cardiovascular work, muscle conditioning, and other athletic drills in stations around the studio. This circuit-training class will push you to your limits! Be prepared to use various types of resistance equipment, including weights, bands, body weight to increase the intensity and fun of your workout! As you maneuver your way through each  station, you’ll lunge, crunch, squat, and more for a full body workout.

Total Barre is a dynamic combination of dance, Pilates, yoga, strength training, and cardio that provides a total body workout in just 50 minutes.  Each session is broken down into 11 songs, all of which have choreography targeting different muscle groups.  You will spend 40 minutes at the ballet barre (or in this case, barre-height chairs) and 10 minutes on your yoga mat working your core and flexibility.  In addition to toning muscles and burning fat, Total Barre encourages an increase in coordination and range of motion.

Total Barre is for all body types and fitness levels as modifications can be made to make every routine more or less difficult.  No need for sneakers, just bring a water bottle, yoga mat and positive attitude!
